hey guys, i'm new to the forum and to pc gaming in generale. If anyone owns a roccat kone xtd, did you guys have any problems binding keys to the side and tilt wheel buttons? i went to roccat's firmware and could not bind it (i've notice it's the ingame that wont allow me). It works fine when i play counterstrike with the side buttons. Any help would be nice. I would like to play and rank up with my keybindings set up.

I have the same mouse and mine works fine, although I think I had a couple of attempts binding the buttons before it worked? Also I tried the Hardline beta and could never get the bindings to work within the game.

how did you get them to work? i was trying numerous times, especially assigning them with different keys...im about to return this damn mouse

Should be as easy as assigning a short cut key to the tilt.

i've also tried that instead of using macros, still didn't work. I have already uninstall the firmware and reinstalled it 2x nothing helps

Binding with the Roccat software works fine for me at least, sometimes I have issues with the profile not changing even if the software sais 'Profile X'. Works fine after boot, so I guess some driver or service getting stuck.
I do bind the keys to the default keys on the game, like side button = keystroke Z, secondary keystroke 2 and so on. Would be better to make one profile and bind the shortcuts to keys you never use on the keyboard in games and change the settings in game, like binding secondary to '-' and prone to ',' (I have most likely very different keyboard layout than the US layout) and then putting the side button shortcuts pointing to '-' and ','. That way you wouldn't really need many mouse profiles, just 'Default' and 'Gaming' basically.

i think the driver is buggy itself too, i tried to change the colour of the led, it wont after how many times i check to 'select colour for lights', click 'apply' close roccat software. No changes applied, even when i'm not assigning macros and just using 'assign with key' the side buttons are non-functional. Hate this, idk if this to apply roccat users or its just this game's problem.

I know this is a couple months late but I just got the mouse so I figured I'd share my experience. I haven't been able to bind the mouse buttons in game. I've had to create a macro and then bind that key in game. For example I wanted Button 5 to crouch so I bound Button 5 to ';'. I then switched crouch in game to ';'. That worked for me but I have been experiencing an issue where I have to press the button a couple times before it does the action. I'm trying to figure out why this is happening since it makes some of them unusable in game. I haven't been able to find much online about it. Oh and about the LEDs, make sure that you check 'Color Flow Off'. I thought color flow just meant it would go from Dim to Bright but it will actually just cycle through all the colors unless you have it off. I was having the same issue while trying to change the LED colors. I absolutely love this mouse besides the binding issue I've been having.

I have XTD, both laser and optical. I bind actions with shortcuts, don't use macros. I have gadgets bind to the wheel. The thing is that i can bind gadget only to the tilt right (toggle gadget two). Cannot bind to tilt left. This is for both mice. Toggle gadget one is at scroll down and have the toggle primary/secondary bind to scroll wheel up. I have this mouse and I die so often because I've had to make macros instead of just being able to bind simple actions to keys, such as putting down a beacon or throwing down ammo ect. If anyone has a simple fix or idea on how to fix this problem I'd really like to know so I can play more effectively. also what are your settings for this mouse, I'm new to pc gaming and would like to get a basis.
