Announcement for those of you using Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7 (Lion): Acrobat and Reader will be ending support for these operating systems after the next quarterly update, expected in May 2015. For the best and most secure experience of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, we recommend using the software on a supported operating system: OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), or 10.10 (Yosemite).

What does this mean for you?
You can continue to install and use Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader software on Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7. However, Adobe will no longer test releases or patches for these operating systems, nor will any bugs specific to these operating systems be addressed. Furthermore, any future security updates or patches won’t be applicable to you. If you are entitled to support, Adobe will continue to support you, unless the problem you’re experiencing is isolated to Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7.

Also, for our Creative Cloud members, _the next major release of Creative Cloud will require Mac OS X 10.9 or higher. _If you’re running an older version of Mac OS X, such as 10.7 or 10.8, you can continue to run and install current and previous versions of the Creative Cloud applications, but will not be able to install or run the next major release of the Creative Cloud desktop applications until you upgrade to a supported version of OS X. Creative Cloud for desktop is a great place to start any creative project. Quickly launch and update your desktop apps; manage and share your assets stored in Creative Cloud; download fonts from Adobe Typekit or high-quality royalty-free assets right within the app; and showcase and discover creative. Adobe Creative Cloud, current versions: It isn’t possible to install or run these on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. As of 2019, the only versions of Creative Cloud applications available for installation are the current version and one previous major version, and those won’t work because support for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion was dropped several years ago.
